Description

The weather guys down here call this a "Sun Dog." I've seen a couple since we moved to Florida, but this was the largest by far. They will tell you this happens when tiny ice crystals high up in the atmosphere line up in just the right way to act like a prism and reflecting the light in just the right way. The result as you can see looks something like a rainbow.
